Research-In-Progress-Symposium (RIPS) and Lab Opening
The Behavioural and Experimental Research Network (BERN) is a new research group funded by The University of Sydney's Economics and Business Faculty.
One of BERN's primary roles is to assist develop experimental and behavioural research capabilities and expertise among researchers and students and to provide a forum for research presentations by academics, research students and visitors. RIPS is primarily a collaborative forum of discussion. Constructive feedback will be provided in a warm and supportive environment from the Faculty's leading experts on behavioural and experimental research.
BERN are also responsible for managing a customised research laboratory in the Faculty of Economics and Business facilitating research using behavioural and experimental methods, including computer-assisted and online experiments.
The agenda for our first RIPS will be:
| Midday | Introduce participants to the new lab in the Merewether Building |
| 12.30pm | Have a sandwich to meet others interested in experimental research |
| 1:00pm | Demonstrate how the lab works using an experiment |
| 2:00pm | Research students will present their experimental design for constructive feedback and discussion (20 minute presentation followed by 10 minutes of discussion).

| 5:00pm | The Dean, Professor Wolnizer, will officially open the lab. Drinks and nibbles will be served. |
